Honorable Minister Tete António is a distinguished Angolan diplomat and politician who has made significant contributions to regional and international relations. Born on January 22, 1955, in Bembe, Province of Uíge, Angola, Minister Tete has had a remarkable career spanning over four decades.

Early Life and Education

Minister Tete holds a Master's degree in International Economic Relations from the University of Kiev, Ukraine. He has also attended courses in Preventive Diplomacy at Columbia University, New York, and Conflict Management, Resolution, and Mediation at the Jimmy Carter Center.

Diplomatic Career

Minister Tete has served in various capacities, including Secretary of State for External Relations, where he played a crucial role in shaping Angola's foreign policy and promoting regional cooperation. In the role of Representative of the African Union to the United Nations, Minister Tete represented the African Union at the UN, working closely with international organizations to promote African interests. In the capacity as Diplomatic Adviser to the President of the African Union Commission, He provided strategic advice to the President of the African Union Commission, contributing to the development of the continent's integration agenda. As Minister Counsellor at the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Angola to the United Nations, Minister Tete represented Angola at the UN, engaging in diplomatic efforts to promote peace, security, and development.

Chairperson of the ICGL: Minister Tete also chaired the International Conference on the Great Lakes Region (ICGLR), working to promote peace, stability, and development in the region.
